Skin Protection From Environmental Stress & Pollution

Stressed skin generally refers to skin that is suffering the effects of external environmental factors. There are numerous environmental factors we encounter in our everyday lives that create oxidative damage in the skin, such as UV light, metals in water and air, pollution, exhaust, smoke, etc. To neutralize the potential for damage, wash skin thoroughly every evening to remove micron-sized particles from the pores. Select skincare for everyday use with proven antioxidant ingredients (including in your SPF) such as Polyhydroxy Acids, Vitamin C and antioxidant botanicals including EGCG Green Tea, Lilac Cell Culture, etc. Always keep skin hydrated to counteract dry, cold, windy or over-conditioned air that can weaken the skin barrier, contributing to an aged look.
